A half-life dream...

A few weeks ago I had a weird Half-Life related dream, that really inspired me. I started this as a speedpainting based on the dream that day but I only finished it now... I'm lazy...



Edit (19.09.30.): Years later, I realised that I only wrote about the dream on my Tumblr, but I've been inactive on that for years now and most people probably never seen it, so I'm copying down the dream's description here too (not that I think that anyone would actually care about it):

"I was Gordon Freeman, and I was walking through some sort of eerie, abandoned factory, that looked like the turret factory part of Aperture Scinence (I think there was it’s logo too), but everything was destroyed and dark. I was walking for a while, when I saw a giant hole at the end of the building, like if a bomb had been blown up there. There was rubble everywhere, and it seemed that I was standing on a platform that was a few meters higher than the floor.

Near the hole, there were Combine soldiers, and when they spotted me, they started to shoot. I pulled out the SMG, and shot back, but it was strange, because something else that I couldn’t see was shooting them as well.

I went outside and saw, that I was at some sort of abandoned prison ( there was a fence and a tower I think so I’m not sure). There were more soldiers coming and it seemed that they had a mounted gun facing the tower. I killed the soldiers, but that thing that attacked them earlier was still there, and it looked like some sort of smaller Combine cannon. I went to the mounted gun, and tried to shoot whoever controlled the cannon, because - I think - it targeted me.

While I was shooting, the person who controlled it, went out of the tower, and guess what: More Combine soldiers came. I tried to shoot them, but there were also new kind of soldiers, that weren’t in the game. Those new soldiers’ armor seemed frozen, and they had some sort of freezing weapons with them.

And if things couldn’t get more weird, the cannon guy arrived, and used some sort of telekinetic power to freeze us, similarly how the Advisors did that, except it had a reddish glow. Then the guy said that I had powers like he does and I should come with him. Then he let me go and killed(?) the soldiers. He also told me that I needed a vehicle and that I could call for one myself (with the powers maybe?).

Before I could get more information from that guy, I unfortunately woke up."
